Abstract

Solid textile waste is the fabric waste that remains after cutting patterns on the fabric, this amount of surplus will depend on the production that a factory or workshop has and that they are discarded without knowing that they can be reused by giving them a new use. Therefore, our focus is on the construction of a fabric shredding machine, to obtain fibers that can be used in the development of new products. At present, textile waste is destroyed and very few are recycled, so it is intended to give a guide to the community, that we are collaborating in the environmental improvement with the recycling of waste and its possible use in the production of nonwovens such as: felts, stuffing for pillows and stuffed animals, etc. The proposed objective is going to be achieved with the investigation of various industrial shredding machines to be coupled with the resources that the Institute has and build through the participation of trained technical personnel, in addition to the knowledge obtained in the Mechanics subject and Textile Maintenance that is dictated in the Textile Production Career, there will also be a traceability of solid textile waste in the city of Quito, to make an analysis of the percentage that can be reduced with the recycling of fabric scraps. The research is a combination of experimental research in which data collection techniques and documentary review of agencies responsible for the management of solid, due to the high pollution index produced by the textile industry.
