Bayesian decision theory to find similarity of qualitative and quantita-tive variables used in maternal deaths
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the maternal mortality percentages registered in the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses during 2016. Mortality in pregnant mothers is a problem that generates an impact at the social level since there are different factors such as the care obtained during pregnancy, the state of health of the mother, the medical care received, among others, which would lead to the death of the pregnant mother. Based on a descriptive probabilistic statistical study, with the use of quantitative and qualitative variables, through the selection of 3 variables (Age, Marital Status and Residence Area) obtained from the public database of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses, we proceeded to the calculation using the Bayes Theorem. As a result, in 2016 the incidence of maternal mortality in minors has a low percentage compared to young people and adults
